Abraham "Sam" Keefer
Sam was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, Arkansas. After graduating high school from River Valley (now Hillcrest), he joined the Marines in 2001 — leaving for basic training the month after 9/11 — and served for five years. Sam’s service includes several overseas deployments.
After the Marines, Sam earned his bachelor’s degree in History from Lyon College in 2012, then pursued his calling at UALR Bowen School of Law, where he won the school’s moot court competition in 2018.

Today Sam serves as lead attorney at Keefer Law Firm, as well as the County Attorney for Sharp County and the City Attorney for Ash Flat, Arkansas. He also serves as a Judge Advocate for the Arkansas Army National Guard. He lives on his family farm in Poughkeepsie with his wife, five children, and an ever-growing number of farm animals.

Do I need a will if I don’t have many assets?
Usually. A will ensures your wishes are honored regarding your children, property, and personal belongings regardless of the size of your estate. Without one, the state decides — and that may not reflect your wishes.
Do you take uncontested divorces?
Absolutely. If you and your spouse are in complete agreement, we can handle your divorce quickly and affordably. Usually you won’t have to go to court at all.
Do you charge a consultation fee?
Yes, we charge $65 for a half hour consultation. Sam will talk to you about any legal issue in that time and give you advice. If you hire him on your case, that $65 is applied to your bill.
