πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ U.S. Marine Corps Veteran

Sam was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, Arkansas. After graduating high school from Hillcrest, he joined the Marines in 2001 β€” leaving for basic training the month after 9/11 β€” and served with distinction for five years.

Sam earned his bachelor’s degree in History from Lyon College in Batesville in 2012, then pursued his calling at UALR Bowen School of Law, where he won the school’s moot court competition in 2018.

“Whether you need a will, a deed, or an attorney beside you in court β€” our goal is great legal representation at a cost you can afford.”

Today Sam serves as lead attorney at Keefer Law Firm and as District Prosecuting Attorney for the 3rd Judicial District covering Sharp and Lawrence Counties. He lives on his family farm in Poughkeepsie with his wife, five children, and an ever-growing number of farm animals.

β€” Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do before going to court?

Talk with Sam as early as possible β€” the more he understands about your case before your hearing date, the better he can represent you. Plan to arrive early; hearings can take several hours.

Who makes the decisions in my family law case?

In family law, you are always in the driver’s seat. If we can reach a fair agreement without going to court, we will pursue that first. If we need to litigate, Sam will fight hard on your behalf.

What if I can’t afford a lawyer?

We offer flat-rate pricing β€” not expensive hourly billing β€” and financing options for those who need it. Everyone deserves professional legal help during life’s hardest moments. Contact us and we’ll work with your situation.

Do I need a will if I don’t have many assets?

Yes. A will ensures your wishes are honored regarding your children, property, and personal belongings regardless of the size of your estate. Without one, the state decides β€” and that may not reflect your wishes.

Can Sam help in Sharp or Lawrence County?

Absolutely. Sam’s experience as District Prosecuting Attorney for the 3rd Judicial District covering Sharp and Lawrence Counties means he has inside knowledge of local courts β€” a significant advantage for your case.
