Abraham “Sam” Keefer is our lead attorney and was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, Arkansas. Sam graduated high school from Hillcrest (then River Valley) in 2001 and joined the Marines shortly after, leaving for basic training the month after 9/11.
After serving for five years in the Marines, Sam attended Lyon College in Batesville, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in history in 2012. Afterward, he worked at Future Fuel Chemical Company in Batesville, first as a forklift operator, then as a chemical operator until 2016, when he was accepted into law school at the UALR Bowen School of Law.
At Bowen, Sam won the school’s moot court competition in 2018 and gained experience as an extern in the Federal District Court of Eastern Arkansas and as a law clerk at the Arkansas Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission. Sam graduated from Bowen in May of 2020, passed the Arkansas Bar Exam in July of 2020, and was sworn into the Arkansas Bar in September of 2020.
In addition to managing Keefer Law Firm, Sam is also a District Prosecuting Attorney for the 3rd Judicial District covering Sharp County and Lawrence Counties.
Sam is currently living the homestead life on his family farm in Poughkeepsie, with his wife, five children, Great Pyrenees dogs and an ever-growing number of farm animals.
